More than 100 years of history
ZG Raiffeisen is the successor organization of the Badischen Landwirtschaftliche Zentralgenossenschaft eGmbH (BLZ). It was founded as a cooperative organization for Baden farmers.
The BLZ was created in 1929 by the merger of the reference and sales cooperative of the Badischer Bauernverein Freiburg and the Badischen Landwirtschaftliche Hauptgenossenschaft Karlsruhe as a cooperative. However, the actual date of foundation is January 1, 1911. On this day, the first central cooperative began its work in Baden as the central purchasing and sales cooperative of the Badischer Bauern-Verein eGmbH.
In 1975 the BLZ was first renamed to Raiffeisen-Zentralgenossenschaft eG by a membership decision, in 2004 it was given its current name ZG Raiffeisen eG.
The name ZG stands for Zentral Genossenschaft (Central Association) and the word Raiffeisen is synonymous with „business association”.
ZG Raiffeisen started exporting (mainly second hand) agricultural machinery to Romania in 2002. After Romania’s adherence to the European Union, European funds were allocated to agriculture and for supporting farmers in their day-to-day endeavours. The Romanian agricultural market experienced significant growth and the demands of farmers for equipement increased.
In 2017 the Romanian company was founded, fulfilling the needs of the local farmers, not only by offering the best quality equipment, but also parts, oils and also repair services and customer support.
Having several shops and repair shops open in the country – in Seuca (Mureș County), Nadab (Arad County), Vitănești and Codlea (Brașov County), having a main office în Timișoara – ZG Technik Romania can deliver original spare parts much faster and to a much larger network, offering farmers repair services and solutions for agricultural technique as well.
In collaboration with our Romanian partners, we offer agricultural machinery and we officially represent Lemken, Amazone, Köckerling, Güttler, Monosem, Tehnos, Farmtech, Oros on the Romanian market.
